Executive

Susan Curtis, M.Ed., RCC, CEAP
Susan has worked part-time as a counselor for Interlock Employee and Family Assistance Corp. of Canada since 1994.

Susan maintains an active private practice on the west side of Vancouver where she counsels individuals and couples who present with a wide range of concerns. She also does exposure in vivo with individuals whose lives are restricted because of a phobia.

Susan has been involved with the UBC Life and Career Centre (formerly the UBC Women’s Resources Centre) for 20+ years. At the Centre, she does vocational testing, emotional intelligence testing, and career counselling and coaching sessions in life and work planning. Susan has led many workshops for the Centre as well as for industry including Cognitive Restructuring: Positive Thinking Revisited (CBT), Career Resiliency, Call to Happiness, Building Confidence and Resilience as well as job search workshops and workshops based on Stephen Covey’s Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. Susan is certified to administer the Retirement Success Profile (RSP), an instrument that measures retirement readiness.

Susan received her Master of Education Counselling Psychology from McGill University in 1982 and has held the designation of “Certified Employee Assistance Professional” (CEAP) since 2003.
