Roma Palmer, MA, RCC, (President) has a successful private practice doing EAP and other counselling with high functioning clients who are in personal or professional crisis. Using a client- centred approach when working with adults and teens, Roma believes clients’ self-knowledge is the key to their healing. In addition to counselling work, Roma also gives her time as a board member of the Canadian Friends of the Calcutta Cathedral Relief Society and is part of the Disaster Psychosocial Program for BC. Jose Jaime GuerreroMA, RCC, (Treasurer) completed a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology from the Adler University in 2006, and obtained his designation as a Registered Clinical Counsellor in BC that same year. He also received a designation as a Certified Public Accountant in 1985 and has worked for over 25 years in a senior financial and operational management capacity for multinational firms operating worldwide. Currently, he teaches finances and administration for various educational institutions in the Lower Mainland and leads a private practice focused in financial counselling and coaching services to individuals and couples. Sarah Becker (UBC Student Liaison) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and doctoral student in the UBC Counselling Psychology program. Sarah works in private practice at Becker Burrows & Associates, where she works with individuals in couples and maintains a special focus on perinatal issues, transition to parenthood, mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and psychoeducational assessment. Sarah’s research is focused on the career decision-making experiences of Indigenous women, and she is the UBC Student Liaison for the EAPA.


Myriame Lépine Lyons (Adler University Liaison | Website Support) is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at the Adler University, where she researched supportive student-professional relationships and well-being. She is currently working full-time as an Education & Support Services Coordinator and Clinical Counsellor at Parkinson Society British Columbia. Follow her @LLMyriame
