Assessment and intervention in Gottman Method Couples Therapy
This presentation will highlight both the theoretical and practical applications of Gottman’s Method Counselling model. It will be an interactive workshop with new learning and some tips and skills that counsellors might use with their couple clients. There will be case studies outlined in video format, reading material and time for questions and brief case consultations.
Presenter: Don Davies, PhD, RCC
Don is the Director for the Centre for Bridging Transitions and has a private consultation and counselling practice in Langley B.C. In addition to working with individual and couple clients, Don has an expertise in helping small businesses as well as family-run businesses deal with conflict and transitions. In a previous 2005 EAPA Chapter meeting, Don presented on Transitions. His upcoming March presentation in on Gottman’s Couples Theory.
