Romance and Sex in Cross-Cultural Relationships: Challenges and Treatment
In our multicultural society many people are attracted to those of ethnic backgrounds. Their accent, exotic appearance, or unfamiliar relationship style are often irresistible. But the very things that attract can also create problems. Multicultural romance often ends in heartbreak. Building upon meaningful discussion, attendees identify key indicators that present and manifest as challenges in cross-cultural relationships, share solutions for the problems, and celebrate cultural diversity. Topics include cultural differences regarding: love, dating, parental attitudes, arranged marriage, religion, sex, children, and so on.
Presenter: Faizal H. Sahukhan (Ph.D., RPC, DACS)
